Welcome to my blog, A Little Bit Of Color! With my impending baby boy comes a surge of energy, to produce handmade, hand sewn designs. I didn't always have a love for sewing, infact I never really had the ambition to even learn how to sew....that is until I became pregnant with my third child! I purchased my very first sewing machine just a few short months ago and gave it a go, taking a sewing class first so that I would at least learn the basics.I wanted to make blankets, hats and many other fun things for my new little prince. Little did I know that these simple designs would then motivate me to want to learn how to sew more intricate patterns, designs that required further skill!! I soon had a passion for this sewing thing and wanted to go all out and create anything that I could in order to gain more practice!! My first piece was a blanket for the little guy, and it turned out pretty well I think. I am still learning to sew in a straight line but at least I can turn my machine on, thread it and away I go! I have sewn many blankets since that very first one. I have found a love for sewing which has given me a love for DIY!

I will also share with you many other items that I have sewn up for this guy, as well as the other two little guy's in my life:) Please take a look around! I am having fun with these DIY projects and don't plan on stopping anytime soon!
